Yard Operative

Key Responsibilities:

    • Goods in and out: Check, load, and unload deliveries, ensuring accuracy and safe storage.
    • Yard work: Move and organise materials, assist with vehicle movements, and keep the yard safe.
    • Quality control: Inspect goods for damage or errors and report issues.
    • General housekeeping: Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Physically fit: Able to carry out manual handling tasks, and perform physically demanding duties.
  • Current / valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence: Confident in safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload goods.
  • Own transport required: Due to the remote location and limited public transport.

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:00-17:00, 40 hrs

Property Viewing Agent (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet clients, providing exceptional customer service throughout the viewing process.
  • Conduct in-person property viewings for prospective buyers.
  • Present properties in the best possible light, highlighting key features and answering questions.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding property specifications, availability, and pricing.
  • Gather and relay client feedback to the sales or lettings team.
  • Coordinate viewing schedules and ensure properties are ready and presentable before each appointment.
  • Maintain records of viewings and client interactions using internal systems.
  • Stay informed about local property market trends and company listings.

Key Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to vehicle is necessary (required for travel between Properties).
  • Must live in Bedford, Bedfordshire – have local knowledge of Bedford streets / areas.
  • 3 years previous experience in either customer service, admin, sales, office, marketing, property.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Preferred but not essential-previously worked in Estate Agent or Property services

Part-time (Saturdays) 1 day, there could be more days available (Monday & Fridays) and provide cover if required / depending on business needs.

Hours: 9:00-17:00 (Must be able to work at least 3 x Saturdays a month) 

Must Drive be able to drive/ have own car: travel between property locations is required.

TIG Welder

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG Welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications. 
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. 
  • Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in TIG welding (1 year required)
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques (1 year required)
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand machinery operations and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.

  • Proven experience in vehicle inspection and testing.

Mechanic/ Technician (Level 3 Qualified)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance.

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced tools and techniques.

HGV Class 2 - Refuse Driver

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team. 

  • Main role will be to drive around a small team of loaders to residential and private dwellings collecting waste.
  • You maybe required to help the loaders occasionally with loading the bins but this would

  • Essential: HGV class 2 Driving Licence 
  • At least 1 year experience driving HGV class 2
  • Must have rear steer drive experience

Carpenter/ Joiner

Key Responsibilities:

      • Manufacture and assemble high-quality bespoke doors and joinery products.
      • Use routers and jigs to accurately fit a variety of locking systems and hinges to custom specifications.

      • Work from detailed technical drawings, interpreting and executing complex joinery designs.

      • Manufacturing heritage windows and doors, using traditional carpentry techniques where required.

      • Ensure all finished products meet our exacting quality standards

      • Work collaboratively with other joiners, designers, and installers to ensure smooth project completion.

      • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Environmental Health Officer (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety.
  • Investigate complaints related to environmental health issues, including food safety, waste management, and pollution control.
  • Prepare reports and document findings, take actions taken during inspections.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to develop strategies for improving public health standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to businesses and the community on best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to health hazards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in environmental health.

Key Requirements

  • Must have an accredited Degree OR Diploma in Environmental Health.
  • Applicants shall be registered with Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) as a registered EHP or REnvH or equivalent.
  • Requires experience in commercial environmental health, including enforcement, licensing, and nuisance control.
  • Food Safety knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Must have strong regulatory experience, including evidence gathering, formal enforcement, legal notices, and successful outcomes such as prosecutions or licensing.
  • Demonstrate a positive ‘Can-Do’ and professional attitude to work whilst being approachable and adaptable.
  • Must be able to work unsociable hours as and when work demands require.
  • Must have Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle.

Facilities Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily facilities operations to ensure council buildings remain secure, safe, and fully operational.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including fire safety and health & safety requirements.
  • Liaise with contractors and manage maintenance works to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitor access control and inventory systems to support building support building safety and visitor management. 
  • Respond promptly to building- related issues, escalating where necessary.
  • Support FM initiatives aimed at improving building usability, sustainability, and efficiency.  

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Facilities Management within a corporate or tenanted environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices and contractor coordination.
  • Familiarity with Fire Safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and building management systems such as access control or inventory.

  • To check vehicles and move cars around large fleet site.
  • Safety & speed awareness
  • Strong parking abilities 

Key Requirements:

  • Essential: Driving Licence (must be able to drive manual & automatic)
  • Ideally full / clean driving licence – no more than 3 points on licence, and no previous DR10
  • At least 2 years driving experience
